Sony will soon be releasing a lot of new games. Nintendo may be the focus of the gaming community right now with Tears of the Kingdom but there are many other great games out there. Next week, we’ll be able to see them at the PlayStation Showcase. You can also watch.

The PlayStation Showcase: What to Expect

Officially? Not much. Sony announced the latest PlayStation Showcase on a Wednesday blog post. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 24th May and will last over an hour. It will also cover new games for PS VR2 and PlayStation 5. Sony says it will reveal first-party games developed by PlayStation Studios, as well as third-party titles. However, the company doesn’t give any details.

Sony may be a bit tight-lipped about what’s in the works, but the rumor machine is churning. According to IGN, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released in fall 2023, despite the lack of promotion by Sony. It’s not unusual for Sony to be silent about Tears of the Kingdom, except for a few carefully selected trailers. We didn’t learn anything concrete until just before the release of the game. IGN points out that Naughty dog, the legendary developer, is also working on a new game, including a The last of Us multi-player title. So maybe we will also hear about that.

This is the first PlayStation Showcase in 2021. This event featured titles such as God of War Ragnarok and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, along with the announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 This is a great precedent for the 2023 Showcase.

Watch the latest PlayStation Showcase

This year, you can choose where to watch PlayStation Showcase. The actual show starts at 4 pm. The show will be broadcast at 1 p.m. ET on Sony’s YouTube channel as well as its Twitch channel.

Sony warns any streamers that want to cover the show about the possibility of copyrighted materials being shown. This is a good reminder, as certain platforms may penalize creators who host this type of material, whether they do so intentionally or not.
